wow, reading about LB and his mum's blog, I am now sat here in tears.

My mum spent years doing art exhibitions with adults with learning disablilities, I will be buying her some of the artworks for Christmas, she will love them. I'll share the link on FB too.

My ds is only 3.4, he loves drawing can hold a pencil like a much older child and always has a notebook on his lap. I try not to think about the future beyond the next hurdle, but reading about LB, whilst extremely difficult to read, has been very, very moving, what a wonderful, handsome, talented young man. Thankyou.

Thanks. It is so profoundly sad and deeply wrong on every level. It is story that will touch all of us who understand, in a very small measure, the brutalisation of the system.

Terrible terrible story. Absolutely unbelievable that this could be allowed to happen. It was totally preventable.

I sincerely hope that they raise the money they need.

I will try and promote on twitter too. Just awful.

Just a little bump.

StarlightMcKenzie · 12/11/2013 22:43

Oh! I read the mothers blog before the tragedy. Terribly sad and seemingly preventable.

my postcards arrived today, they really are amazing pieces of art. I am going to put one of the buses in a frame for ds's room, and one of the colours ones in a frame for my mum.

inappropriatelyemployed · 15/11/2013 22:50

That's great. I really do hope they get the support they deserve. The case is just devastating on every level,

Utterly damning report of the unit in question published today here

How can people be treated like this? Utterly disgraceful and heart-breaking.
