Don't want this to get bogged down in a n increasingly lengthy thread.

But I just wanted to say that I hope I read t wrong, and its just that thread your keeping well clear of, not the whole board. Granted I've never 'spoken' much to either of you, I still feel new round here after x many months, but I read your posts and you and a few others make this place what I think a lot of us need it to be.

So, yes, stay, don't go.

Otherwise I'll have exhausted my Mcalmont nad Butler persuasion technique

I god I really hope they don't go. Both of them are valuable and much loved members of mumsnet. I've just scan read the thread and I honestly can't see the offence in it. Some people are just so frustrating.

Reginald · 11/07/2006 09:50

oh no what have I missed?

tallmummy · 11/07/2006 09:50

Don't go, don't go, please, please, please don't go!
I posted on that other thread because I completely understood where you were coming from. What happened - is the thread still around or has it been deleted - will search.

katierocket · 11/07/2006 09:51

I honestly feel that if people like fio and jimjams feel hounded off mumsnet it's a sad, sad day and proof that the place has completely changed.

Davros · 11/07/2006 09:59

I hope it does not get deleted because I have not read it yet and feel like I have a right to as a regular contributor to MN, esp SN (although not so regular recently). DON'T DELETE IT PLEASE!!!

Dont leave me!!! You're my fount of all knowledge on everything ASD. I'd be lost with out you.

Marina · 11/07/2006 10:10

I didn't see anything houndlike in your postings dino and I am so sorry a row blew up. I always find anything you, Jimjams and Fio post informative, insightful and often very funny . I'd hate to see anyone leave over this thread

coppertop · 11/07/2006 10:14

I only read the first 150 or so posts but I didn't think Dino's posts were out of order or anything. At one point I actually re-read the earlier posts because I couldn't understand what she was apologising for later on.

katierocket · 11/07/2006 10:22

I don't think anyone is suggesting Dino did say anything wrong. This thread is just to say don't go - to Fio and Jimjams

coppertop · 11/07/2006 10:24

Just spotted Socci's post further down (on this thread). JJ has deleted her membership?

Davros · 11/07/2006 10:25

I believe Jimjams has deleted her membership I will try to phone her when I have time. I know she enjoys MN but also takes giving advice and support seriously. She is the first MNer I can remember making any connection with.

katierocket · 11/07/2006 10:27

How sad.

Good luck with the form-filling.

Marina · 11/07/2006 11:45

The photocopies will do if they have been "certified by a reputable person". Ahem! Librarians are often considered reputable in this capacity at least. Get down to the branch and ask them to write "I certify that this is a photocopy of Fio's original exam certs and that I have seen the originals, signed A Cardigan-Bunne, Lady Librarian" with the date on.
Otherwise you do need to submit the originals which is a bad idea on balance
