Had to name change to post.

I wonder if anyone could help but does anyone know if the following assessments usually be used on a 14 1/2 year old girl?

Test for abstract language comprehension (TALC)
Assessment of comprehension and expression (ACE)
Test for reception of grammar (TROG)

Googling has made me wonder. Thanks

Hopefully someone with better SALT expertise will come along soon, but as far as I know from my dealings with SALTs, TALC and ACE are standardised for use with primary school age children. The SALTs at DS1's secondary school use TROG-2; I'm pretty sure they don't use ACE, but I can check.

I reckon you'd need a professional to advise on whether TALC or ACE are suitable for a 14.5yo girl. I suppose developmental factors separate from age might make them suitable, depending on context, but it's probably sensible to be sceptical.

ACE is for ages 6-11 years, so she'd be over the age to use it/score it.

TALC and TROG can be used in adolescence.

Thanks for your help.

It was TROG not TROG-2 that was used.
