Sorry to go on but it seems we have some breakthroughs in the last few days.... when I got in from work dd was eating pieces of banana - picking them up from her tray and eating them rather than being fed them.

We have been reading a book the last few nights with black and white photos of babies in and tonight she was first of all touching the words and then stroking the pictures... then she pointed at one of the babies - an actual pointing pose with her hand - NEVER done that before. THe book finishes with the phrase and this is the baby that I love the best with a mirror on the opposite page - DD always finishes with a smile and a kiss for the baby in the mirror. Tonight I also got the ba ba ba syllable... I am just so pleased and blwon away with her progress lately.

Oh Eidsvold, what lovely news. Well done dd!

What a wonderful posting! She sounds like she is doing so well.
When we have kids that require a little more worry and take a bit longer, it makes the doing of it so much more special, they have to work so much harder for their accolades and milestones.

You'd never believe it - last night when dh got in late and was standing in the doorway of the study - dd turned with a big smile on her face and pointed straight at dh... I almost cried!
