Back from my meeting at school, Dd3 has been offered an alternative curriculum for some of the week, she has been given lots of choices about which adults she works with and is going to be out of the classroom 3 afternoons per week.

I am so relieved but at the same time gutted that we have had to endure 6 weeks hell before we could get to this point.

From today we draw a line in the sand and move on.

Thanks for all the honks I am sure they helped Grin

Thanks all, sorry didnt reply earlier I had to go and do sparklers with the Guides Smile

Polter Dd3 definitely seems happy that she has been allowed to make some choices and IMO she has made very sensible ones.
I spent some of the evening making a problem scale similar to your Ds's Sea creature one but using Characters from her favourite movie. Luckily there is a marked difference in size between the characters. We are hoping that it will help us to help her to get a handle on her concept of the seriousness of her problems.

Handy and One Me too, I am fairly exhausted by it all so goodness knows how Dd3 feels.

I do think the school realised that things were going really wrong and not meeting a child's needs goes way against their ethos and everything that the school is about.

Onwards and upwards Smile
