My son was asessed months ago at the cdc. Hes been diagnosed asd since that. He got blood and urine taken and a few weeks later i got a letter saying everything was fine. But does anybdy know what the blood and urine tests were for, i cant remember. And do you know if he would have been tested for any food intolerence? TIA!

sounds like they were testing for a metabolic disorder to me which can flag a genetic/chromosomal problem - particularly the urine test. Pretty standard I think. Don't hold back from calling the paed and asking - leave a message with the secretary and s/he should get back to you.

Blood is typically for Fragile X chromosomal disorder, which (I think) underlies about 10% of ASD dx.

Urine is for metabolic disorder, which can lead to ASD-type behaviour. There is one matabolic disorder often (always?) tested in the baby heel prick blood test, but I think there may be others with similar outcomes.

This was the answer I got in very similar circumstances.
