After 2 years of school saying ds doesn't need a label, they can support him in ms, they can use his support staff as they like ( even if that means leaving him alone in a classroom!!) That ds is changing the goalposts, that he will eat in the lunch hall however ill it makes him. That his school refusal is us keeping him off school. 2 years of him crying until 2am as he is so scared of school. One tribunal where school lied and told the panel they saw no anxiety and that they could meet his needs, mislead led the panel by telling them that a highly qualified person would be working with him next term and term immediately making her redundant. Telling me after tribunal that they didn't always meet his needs but it was their job to say they were!
Then a house move and a new school where headteacher, at last, was honest and said ds would not cope in ms. LA were still adamant that he would be fine but ds refused to step foot in the door, a denial of our legal right to appeal, some intervention by our mp and a lot of work from FS, final statement arrived on Saturday with Indie SS in part 4. Ds has been there for a few weeks as school also were very supportive and took him before final statement arrived.

He is a changed boy already. Far more confident and less anxious. Obviously he stilll has problems. They wont just go away, but is now in a place where he will be helped and feels safe.
Thank you to everyone who has given me advice and to FS, and to all of you who are still going throught this process. Don't give up. You know what your child needs.

Well done Flowers ... for getting back up after every knock-back. You have done fantastic. FS was our rep a couple of weeks after you and was still outraged at the decision of the panel in one of her cases. As it was the only one she had 'lost' in years I knew it was you Sad.

I am so glad your son has the school he (and you) wanted! I hope he will have a brilliant time there. A massive pffffft to the rubbish old school. How can they justify telling such lies?
