dd2 (aged 8yrs 7months): "Mum, listen to this joke!"
me (excited): "Ooh go on then..."
dd2: "What do you call a deer with no eyes?"
me (genuinely excited/eagerly awaiting punchline): "I don't know, what do you call a deer with no eyes?"
dd2: "Eye don't know!" Halloween Hmm

I know it's not PC but dd1 and myself were literally streaming with tears and shuddering in order to stifle the laughter.

Oh how I LOVE that girl Halloween Smile

Fabulous Grin

We had a string of awful jokes yesterday from DD2, none of which made sense or were funny in the slightest. Then, she said:

"What do you call a spider with no legs?"
I said 'I don't know".
"A raisin!"

Well, I practically jumped up and down whooping with delight and in my hazey, gushy 'could I possibly have an NT girl here?' moment I said in awe:

"DD2, did you make that joke up all by yourself?!"

She said:

"No Confused John told me it."

That peed on my bonfire Grin

Oh yes, of course Smile I just had this brief moment of awe and wonder that DD2 had made up a joke that was actually funny Grin

That's how I tell jokes Wink
I always seem to get the punch line wrong

OMG I didn't know this was an ASD trait! DS does this all the time and it makes me laugh so much. His jokes are always a combination of other jokes he has heard and ofc aren't funny at all. They usually involve insects too for some reason.

Example: "Why did the bee go on the bus when he was feeling sick?"
"Because he wanted to go to school!"

Brilliant!
