Just sitting he wondering if my ds the only autistic child on the planet to have absolutely no interest in Thomas the Tank Engine, he's been given Thomas dvd's, train sets, jigsaws, lovely set of books, but he shows no interest in them at all. Now when it comes to Postman Pat and Fireman sam thats a different story he love's them and they always catche his attention when he see's them on tv. Anyone else's child have other preferences?

My DS never liked Thomas. He preferred Fun Song Factory, loved action songs. Unfortunately progressed on to SpongeBob Squarepants Hmm and now (at 14) YouTube!

Mine has no interest in any character of any sort.

Mine also does not have any particular interest in specific characters, but I sometimes try to impose my own interests on him (I like Mike the Knight personally, and so we have MtK underpants and shirts etc, but that's really for my amusement not his! He can recognise and point to MtK but that's about it, he does mot really care one way or another!). I recently caught an episode of Rastamouse, which I had never seen before. Fabulous! I can feel a new set of clothing/bedding etc coming on....

Not Thomas with us either its Fireman Sam or nothing here. Its awkward as he wants the t-shirts and clothing but as he is so tall they just don't make them in his size anymore (understand how character clothes are frowned on here in general but if I can get him to wear any clothes that's a bonus for me).

No Thomas the Tank Engine??? How can that be? My DS3 who is 12 now still loves TtTE amongst other things. I have also had to explain to him that he can't have Pingu pants because they don't make them in his size. Sad

Bee has told me she wants to move to England, because Sodor Island is there and she wants to live with Thomas (actually, Percy, to be exact).

She says it is no good to live in Canada, because the only "cool" thing we have is Theodore Tugboat

So, sorry... No Thomas aversion here Grin
