Hi, not sure if I'm posting this in the best place but was looking for some feedback from parents of children with autism.
I work for a local authority as a specialist autism teacher- mostly advising parents and nurseries on teaching strategies.
The future of my role is uncertain due to financial cuts and I am trying to explore other options e.g. providing same role privately 1-1 to parents, offering a specialist tutoring service, web-based support service, specialist respite care for children or specialist play/interaction/communication groups for children. I'm trying to get a picture of what services are needed and would really appreciate any thoughts or comments. Although I am able to take a cut in salary I would unfortunately need to charge for my time so would appreciate any comments around costs parents would be willing or able to pay.
