Just come back from meeting with DS new EP. He was last seen 2 years ago, the report we got then was based on the EP doing a range of cognitive tests, he scored 0 on everything. EP contradicted himself on what DS could and couldn't do and the class teacher contradicted the EP in the final report.
Now 2 years later, after no input from an EP at all, this new EP says she's assessing him based on observations. She saw him today and, with a lot if pushing from us, says she will see him after Christmas again to observe. When asked about cognitive tests, she says she doesn't like to do them and thinks, after a half hour observation, no interaction with DS, that he wouldn't be able to access them anyway. She hadn't read previous report by EP on DS and was a bit taken aback by myself and DH when we asked how she was going to assess his progress and what was she basing it on.
Arrrrrhhhh, why does it always feel like you're starting from scratch each time.
