i have a question , might sound a bit numpty but ds2 is going to be observed by the local additional needs service at school . He has been diagnosed with asd. school often say they dont have much problem with him except he doesnt make any effort with his work . At home we have had awful behaviour problems and school refusal .
yesterday at school would have been good for them to observe maybe as he has an incident in ict, wouldnt do his work which led to him shoving past the teacher and wandering the corridors in an agitated state refusing to go anywhere to calm down . this problem in ict (for him) has been going on a while.
if they observe him and see him just looking bored etc without any incident what will happen then ? what does happen ? what can i expect them to do about this situation?
he has ambled along making minimum effort with work , having occasional incidents ,just about meeting targets in most lessons with school saying hes fairly ok but at home the fact he has to go to school , the homework , the school refusal has been awful and almost tore us all apart .
