Omega 3 for 7 year old

Hi there

Does anyone use omega 3 with their kids, and if so which tablets and at what dosage?

DS has been on the Haliborange capsules. Previous dosage advice was up to 600 mg, they now say 2 capsules only (400mg). I think his behaviour has deteriorated a bit since the dose dropped - though potentially many many other reasons for that.

So which brands are good and what dose do you give?

Thanks!

We used vegepa chewables ( amazon do them) and my ds takes 3 capsules per day. Has made a massive difference to his behaviour and concentration. He has been taking them for about 18 months.

We use Eye Q liquid with our 4 year old DS and give him 2 teaspoons a day. Within a couple of weeks of starting it he began echoing sounds and seemed more aware of his surroundings. We took him off for a while and switched to vegepa for a couple of months but his behaviour deteriorated and within a couple of weeks of switching back he was his old self again. It may all be a coincidence but I figure that giving him fish oil can do no harm.
If I were you I would try one brand for a couple of months and if you don't notice any difference then try another as I think different brands suit different kids.
