Recieved amended proposed statement this morning, after his annual review where statement writer was present and we spent 3 hours almost rewriting statement as ds has changed so much and it needed bringing upto date. Everyone left the review happy that ds was doing well and I wasn't asking for anything he wasn't receiving ect ect .
So I opened his proposed statement this morning ( conveniently dropped through letterbox on a Saturday so you calm down before
speaking to them Grin) and no changes have been made at all !!!!!
Except is primary need of autism is now communication difficulty and his secondary need of severe learning difficulties is now blank!!!
10,000 pounds has also been slashed from his top up funding Wink.
Gosh why do they try it on !

Congratulation on the autism cure, treatment of learning difficulties and making available money for children who REALLY need it.......

Here we go...

Seriously, what is going on? unless i have been missing something I don't remember so many of us complaining about so many stupid and ridiculous sheningans of the LA this time last year.

Starlight the cure is overrated Grin, ds doesn't seem any different than before Wink.
Maybe I should ask for a refund

Just send it back informing them that they have missed the £15k that was agreed, his Autism dx and his need for a laptop, but you're certain it is just an admin error and look forward to the corrected version by return of post.

So you write back and calmly ask them to put their reasoning in writing referring to the professional evidence they have relied on as you will be taking legal advice on judicial review. Wink Sen officers can't act on their own opinions they must have professional support and that must be either in the annual review reports or oral evidence at annual review recommending the change.

Absolutely agree with Agnes. We need to use JR more to challenge these totally irrational decisions - irrational legally, perfectly rational to them financially of course!

Email statementing person now, quoting star.
Wait a week, then email again quoting Agnes.
Another week then email again, on IE's line (to councillor)

Always allow public sector 3 chances for brain to kick in before formal action. Demonstrates reasonableness. (And occasionally and randomly, being reasonable, which is welcome but rather disorientating)

Aargh. iPhone must be assessing my text for logic, it deleted the bold bit. 'Occasionally being reasonable actually works
