Swearing!

Can I ask if your child swears when they are cross/upset etc?
As yet, my DS doesnt (he is 8 now with ADHD/ASD) and its a really big bug bear of mine, I really hate it, even from adults.
DS is now in a SS and I know he will be hearing a lot more swearing and Im quite worried about how to handle it should he swear.
If they do swear, how do you deal with it?
Also, do you swear in your home and do you think it makes a difference by swearing around them or not swearing etc??

I never swear around my kids or anyone elses for that matter.

I suppose it depends on the level of understanding, as to what you do about it. My ds is 9 now, he has obviously heard swear words, but never uses them, as he knows he shouldn't. If he did, I could tell him he shouldn't and he would understand.

However at about 3 years old, he had very limited understandable speech, but learnt the phrase 'fucking hell daddy' and could say this as clear as anything and would repeat it over and over. Telling him no, he just didn't understand and didn't stop, so I just distracted and ignored.

Blimey is 'fart' a swear word, maybe I do swear then! I was thinking more hard core swear words!
