Ds has GDD, will be 4 soon. He saw LA Ed.psych. before they refused to assess, the report read like a simple story, very disappointing. Now LA has backed down and another Ed.psych. is coming to observe on Monday as part of the statement process. Luckily it's a different person this time (the last one was at Tribunal being awful and talking utter nonsense) - are there any tests that can be done at this age? Or is it going to be another story again?

At that age it is usually the British Ability Scales but only if the EPnfeels your Ds can access them.

my Dd was seen by the EP at almost 4. Dd was not able to do formal assessments at that stage. the EP did observe her and wrote a really detailed report (not just a story) with lots of recommendations. by the sound of it - your EP was probably rubbish...

Chocnomore, oh yes she was useless lying bitch, I don't even hope this one will be any better. Anybody working for Essex LA is probably useless.

A poster on here once wrote all over an EP report that it was all lies and bollocks and how the EP was an incompetent numpty or some such.

Then she accidently copied THAT copy of the report for the Statutory Assessment. It has me chuckling for MONTHS.
