You know Disney's policy on special needs is excellent, dd has been able to not exit her buggy and use the fast track queue meaning a lot less wait.

We'll does anyone know if universal and sea world have similar policies? If so what do they allowif you have a doctor's note explaining your child has mobility issues and cannot be around crowd?

We are heading to Orlando on Wednesday with our 16 year old who has severe autism. This will be our fourth time of taking him. We mostly do Universal, Seaworld and Busch Gardens as well as water parks. The system that they now operate goes something like if there is more than a certain queue (can't remember if its 15 or 30 mins) then they give you a time to come back and ride. We always try and go out of school holidays so haven't had too much of an issue with this.

We have just comeback, universal give you a card that allows the same as disney except comeback times after 30 mins. Also ask for a stroller used as a wheelchair card. Also we worked out what the longest queues to be able to plan meals ice cream breaks around. Seaworld is the same but has very few rides the fast track where reasonable though, Ds2 loves log flumes so he spent most of the time on there at seaworld while we went to see the shows. Disney where amazing with their service.

We're just back too. Disney was a lot more straightforward in that we walked straight onto every ride but at least Universal do give concessions too.

As for what you do, at Disney you just go to Guest Services and state the nature of the disability (they are not allowed to ask for any proof) and you will receive a Guest Assistance Card. This states that the card is not designed to enable you to avoid queuing, but in practice we were put straight on every ride
