I had so many people here give me wonderful advice, when I first started the statement process a year ago.

I'm now an evening before dds first big day, thinking how lucky she is, to of been given the opportunity of starting this particular school.

She has no idea what went into the process and will no doubt feel overwhelmed in the morning. But I'm hoping she will feel the benefits and see the differences between a mainstream and ss and at least be thankful for that.

Wow sweet you have come a long way. I remember your posts in the early days of secondary for your Dd.

I hope she settles and enjoys her new school Smile

My little boy (8) started at independent specialist school last week Smile like you I am battle weary having fought for this for the last ten months! So far so good! Hope all goes well for your daughter x

Well done sweetteamum! We are just applying for tribunal for an independent specialist school after backing out last year and agreeing to the LA generic special school. It was the worst decision we ever made and now DD 14 is out of school as its caused her so much stress/anxiety.

I hope your daughter has a great tomorrow x

When DD started her SS we were as nervous as she was I think. Anyway, from day 1 it has been a big hit with her and though she has only been there since May she is overall a much happier more settled child. She is back to school tomorrow and is looking forward to it - such a relief to have her wanting to go to school.

Thank you all so much. It's been a long wait coming and it would of been much longer if it hasn't of been for the lovely people on this board x
