DS1 has autism and gets high rate care dla and low rate mob,he hates the bath with a vengence, seems to hate washing at all as he wont even wash his hands at school, they have tackled this for 2 years now .
The easiest way of getting him washed is in a shower,he will mess about in a shower all day if allowed Grin,we live in scotland and have a housing association house-does anyone know if there is some way i can get funding to have a shower fitted for ds1??

you may get a disabled facilities grant, you get this throu social services physio, (it may be different in scotland)we were assessed for a grant and they awarded it but their plans and ours were very different so we had to fund the work ourselves.

Could you apply for Family Fund - not sure if they have it in Scotland though.

There is a way to get this done as many in my street do it.

Contact H/A and ask their advise
