We have just been given a freebie notepad. We are waiting for the ed psych report but are anticipating that our 8yr old daughter is both dyslexic and dyspraxic. She is a screen addict and some apps that could help her at the same time would be fab!

My 7yo DD loves Monkey Word School Adventure, it is not specifically for dyslexic children but does get her interested in words. There seem to be very few relevant android apps available, particularly for UK children. If you find anything that helps I would really appreciate it if you could let me know. We are ordering the Nessy PC software at the moment.

IXL maths is available as an app and has been brilliant for my dyslexic/dyspraxic dd. it costs £59 a year but since March my dd has done about 45 hours on it of year 4 and 5 maths, and really consolidated her knowledge and broken away from hating maths. It is excellent value compared to a private tutor or Kumon which an older daughter used but is nowhere near as good. I'm also very keen to hear of good apps in other areas.
