Today is my DS2s last day at school. His special school only goes to 16 and he has been there since he was nearly 4 years old, so 12 happy years.

In that time he has gone from a non verbal floppy dribbly little fellow to one who can talk, read and write , and even go to the sweet shop by himself.

He is fabulous because of his teachers and TAs and I am going to miss their support as much as he will (not looking forward to he SN college!)

I'm going to cry and look a prat I know I am Grin

Good thing about sunny days is you can wear large sunnies! Weep away, so good to hear he's had 12 happy years Smile

nothing wrong with a few tears, the escort on dd3's bus had a few this morning as the dc she works 1:1 with is leaving today so I'm sure school staff will be emotional too Smile It's great he's come so far in that time!

Oh that has made me tearful, fantastic your DS has had a fantastic school, wish him an equally fantastic college! :)

I am getting tearful as DS2 is going up to the next class in his ASD unit, his teachers in his class have been wonderful.

I can imagine a little of how you are feeling. Grateful tears are good. I am going to miss DD2's wonderful class teacher and TA.

Well done to your wonderful son.
