Present for LSA

My ds (ASD) has just finished his foundation year.

His LSA has been fantastic... she goes above and beyond what is expected of her and she really understands ds. I just know that without her support he wouldn't have achieved all he has this year. She won't be supporting ds in YR1

I would like to get her a really nice gift to say thank you, since she won't be supporting ds in YR1. Given that ds can be challenging at times I was thinking of getting her a Comedy Night for 2 gift for her and her dh.

Cost is around £40, I certainly don't want to appear showy... so would appreciate any views on this gift.

Are you sure that would be her thing?

Why not make something with your ds? I did this with ds2 when he was at primary school. made a sort of collage with felt, tinsel, buttons etc I cut the fabric into shapes and he made a picture of her with him. He wrote his name above it and I drew dots which spelt out thank you which he drew over. I put it in a photo frame without the glass. She cried when she got it.

I've bought dd's TA and her teacher a bottle of Prosecco and will get dd to write a message in a card. I love reading them because she is very honest so we've had "thank you for helping me, I love your red dress did you know you have grey hairs?" and "thank you for helping me you look much better now you have lost weight next you can work on your singing" Grin

DD has recently finished pre-school. I wanted to get her key worker a nice gift because she has been amazing with DD, and has gone out of her way for us. I got her a voucher for a meal for two in a nice restaurant near us. I also gave her a card with a wee message about how much she had meant to DD and me, and she seemed really touched by the card. She is an angel!
