I thought the write-up for this was a bit odd. Haven't they called it something like "The woman who thinks like a cow"?

coppertop · 06/06/2006 10:40

And I've just realised it clashes wit House. Blush

coppertop · 06/06/2006 10:41

I forgot it clashes with BB. I bet I don't end up watching it after all, BB overrides everything in this house.Blush

I read the review, it looks very good - don't forget to watch!

I've seen her speak twice. She is very interesting but I will probably watch something "lighter" for my evening's entertainment! I may use the new Telewest version of Sky+ we've got a look at it some other time. She thinks like a cow because she thinks only in pictures, not in words, and therefore visualises what the cow sees as it goes through the shute to be slaughtered! And she understands how to make it less stressful, therefore more humane and tasiter meat!

I've just been reading about her & want to watch this. However,as it clashes with House,we'll have to see if I can persuade DH to watch it.

mizmiz · 08/06/2006 22:14

Did anyone watch?
It was a little superficial (as tv programmes are almost by definition) but fascinating.
I have read her book and we dwellt on her at length when I was training as a SALT.

Presumably her Autism meant that she could succeed in a male dominated business as things that would have upset non autistic women, just passed her right by.

Chocol8 · 08/06/2006 22:24

I thought it was interesting and i'll certainly try and get hold of a copy of her book.

It also made me realise that i have some mild autistic traits, which was a bit of an eye opener. She's a great character though.

I was completely amazed at Temple. Sat there open mouthed for most of it.
An amazing woman, a genius.

I really warmed to her as well. She had such an aura about her.

Although she was deemed as severely autistic as a child I am sure this doesn't count now as an adult (sorry for my ignorance but she seemed hf)
