I have more - the above was in the style of Ian Dury and the Blockheads (showing my age)

  1. Slept upstairs in his bedroom for the first time since xmas
  2. Is actually boarding
  3. Travels alone in the taxi
  4. Has friends just like him
  5. Goes swimming in the outdoor pool every day after school
  6. All the clothes he could not wear have come back out of storage
10. Thanks to Skype, at weekends he connects to his new friends and the Pal in his Pocket means that Dr Jekyll rather than Mr Hyde is coming home at the weekends 11. He is the most happy and relaxed I have ever seen him 12. He plays 'rough' games like tag without seeing it as bullying

I have no idea what is going on academically but atm I don't care.

The sport's day was not a performance for parents and there was no nasty critical, competitive atmosphere. What was most striking was the degree of freedom that DC that would almost certainly have f/t 1:1 in the m/s have. Also the complete absence of criticism for being who you are. Two of the boys had dressed as wizards and were greeted like popstars with high 5s and hugs - 'this is the best cloak I have ever worn, I should have worn this last time we played quidditch', another group of teenage boys were avidly discussing the merits of sitting on one patch of grass rather than another, the commentator would call for the runners in the 100m to no avail but then just switch to calling out the names of individual children without berating them for not listening.

There is going to be a performance of Midsummer Nights dream tomorrow evening in the walled garden and DS1 is playing a goblin.

WOW,that's brilliant. I'm sure now he can do all of those things, his academic progress will be just as good. Well done to your ds1 and well done to you as you must of had to battle hard to get the placement.

Well done littleKeep and Keep.

Keep on posting his progress - it's keeping me going on upwards!

[Awful unintentional puns in this post!]
