London Dungeon - complaining worked!!!

At Easter we went to the London Dungeon as a family - DS uses a special needs buggy so I arranged in advance that we would be catered for. I was assured that everything was in place - it was a disaster. We were ignored, pushed to the side, left alone in the dark when we should have been escorted in the lift, it was not a fun time!!!

I complained on my return home as I was furious at the way we had been treated. The complaint was taken seriously and we received an appology and an invitation to visit again which we decided to take them up on.

We went on Saturday and it was a very different visit from the first. We were escorted around, helped through some of the dark areas and made to feel welocme. I also learned that they are now producing a leaflet for disabled visitors and have begun staff training.

They should have got it right the first time but they have listened and seem to be doing something about it.

Our children deserve to be treated with respect, it is worth complaining when large organisations who should know better get it so badly wrong.

Great - good for you. You will have helped other families with this.

That's great well done. I'm glad you had a good time in the end.

Brilliant. I complained to a London museum recently about the dirty looks one of their guards was giving ds1, who looks like a very badly behaved child if you don't know the background. They took it really seriously on the phone.

Well done
