Anyone watched the Green Wing?

I haven't seen this for years but started to watch it again on 4OD. Well, it cheered me up as it is life as I imagine it to be for some of these feckless NHS bureaucrats Grin

One scene goes something like:

Young trainee doctor who goes to human resources about stress: thanks for listening,

HR (?) woman: I wasn't actually listening

Doctor:it's helped

HR woman: no it hasn't

Doctor: oh

HR woman: we're just filling a bit of space in time really aren't we? Now fuck off

That's the gold standard treatment I recognise! Worth a watch!

I've been watching it again on 4oD too, I love it. My DD has also discovered it and I'm so pleased she likes it too. Surreal, silly and beautfully acted. The cast must have had a ball.

I'm sure there is a Harriet Schulenberg on here, so we can't be alone.

I know one of the writers - and yes, everyone involved had a ball!

I never managed to catch it all, but it is so well written. And alarmingly not all that far fetched.

I haven't watched it for years but it did make me laugh thinking of how the frustrating bureacrcacy of senior management I have been dealing with could be just like this!

I take back surreal then.

Worrying.
