Birthday Present for 6yo Boy With Asbergers.

DS's friend will be six tomorrow. He is an outdoorsy, lively child who has Asbergers. Can any of you recommend something that he will enjoy that won't be annoying for his mum?

I only have about a tenner to spend and was thinking about getting him a kite and a small Lego kit, but am open to better suggestions.

My ds is 7 and also has aspergers and would be over the moon with a kite and Lego :-)

Lego is normally the thing. The alternative is to ask his mum what his special areas of interest are and get something to do with that. I'll never forget the look on DS's face (aged 6) when one of his classmates managed to persuade her mum to get him a little tourist snowglobe of Tower Bridge for his birthday party. Never has three quid's worth of plastic tat made anyone so happy.
