Anyone going to Camp Bestival?

I see they do disability access. It's not that far from us.

We're thinking of going this year but tend to book all our holidays last minute. We went last year and enjoyed it.

disability camping appears to be full though.

We can probably pop down for a day. Advantage of living in Hicksville!

I'm not sure DS could handle the noise at conventional festivals Sad. So as an alternative we are heading to this event instead walesenvironmentalhomeeducationcamp.com/

Might appeal to you IE as you are home edding at present?

TBH I found it alright, with enough space, but my kids are younger.

Sliverfrog was a regular attender, but last year was our first.

Because my kids were younger they weren't with us for the very late night rowdy stuff, though still had bedtimes of about 11pmish, and we didn't frequent the dance/dj places.

You can see the main stage from behind the house where people have more chilled out picnics. You can't see much of the act (as the stage looks small from there) but it's a good option.

Having said that, right in front of the stage (and so in front of the speakers is also fairly manageable and surprisingly empty for many of the acts.

I liked it for a fairly civilised festival, with generally good upkeep of the loos though a tad expensive for food etc. We lived in the WI tent for lunch for better priced sandwiches and took lots of breakfast bars etc.

Just don't talk to me about the camping hill.........

(there is also the option of ear-defenders)

btw my kids didn't need ear defenders, not even my baby who was at the time 6 weeks old.
