I got a letter this morning saying 'Further to the request for a Statutory Asessment of Connor's special educaton needs, I am pleased to confirm that this assessment will now be going ahead'
WOOHOO!!!! Maybe I can relax a little but now! Just a few more reports to send and I can just wait.

That's just great spursmumSmile

I've been told I should get a decision this week regarding my ds, I'm praying I'll get the same good news.

I'm really pleased, spursmum.

My friend with a son with ASD found that getting them to agree to carry out the assessment was the hard part - she had to appeal to get them that far, but then once her son had been assessed the LEA did agree that he needed a statement and she didn't ahve to fund a second appeal. Hope it works out that way for you too.
