I think it might depend on where you live. Our portage worker told us that it used to be at 3yrs old but the age limit is now from 5 years. We're in Cambridgeshire btw.

I think you need to talk to the hv mabs.

above 3 here as well- and they have to be in nappies during the day- not just at night. I think the HV carries the forms.

they moved the goalposts in north yorkshire in the summer - it's now 4 instead of 3 here.

Just found this thread, and wanted to say, my daughter is in nappies all the time, and I have been getting free nappies for her since she was 2 years old (she's now just turning three) Im not sure how it works, as I was initially told I wouldn't be able to get them until she was three, but my HV pushed and pushed on my behalf and we got them we didn't get as many as she actually uses but somethings better than nothing!

funny this has been mentioned- just been told locally the minimum age is 4yrs...

Where I live In Sutton, Surrey you can have them from 3! As mentioned in another thread dd was hard to train, due to lack of understanding. We applied and the HV was due to measure up but for some reason dd become dry by the time HV was due to come round. My HV RANG me to tell me about the service!!!! Anyway, as dd was trained we didn't qualify but a friend has them delivered regularly. I can't see why where you live should make a difference? Also the free nappies are a lot bigger then bog standard shop ones!
Good luck MABS!!!!!!
