DFG for garden fencing approved!!!

We applied ages ago in the hope of getting some of the garden fenced, we have just heard they are going to fence it all !!!!

Lovely safe 1.8 m fence all around.

Off to fill in family fund application form now to see if we can get some new play equipment seeing as we are going to be able to use the garden now!

Our LA have just drawn up a new draft policy that says fencing is not being funded under the DFG scheme as is it not a Mandatory item. I have filled in their consultation stating that children/adults with severe behaviour difficulties will not be able to access their gardens without appropriate fencing - and access to gardens is listed under Mandatory items. They are also trying to stop funding for ceiling track hoists as if they are some sort of luxury item! Lucky we've got 2 already .

Hope you manage to get funding for play equipment to complete the job.
