Wii and ASD

I just thought I'd share an idea I had for any Wii owners with preschool ASD children. I noticed that my son was really engaging with the little Wii Mii characters (we have made one for each member of the family), so I have made a character for a few of his classmates that he has had fledgling social interactions with. He starts back at nursery next week, so it will be interesting to see if it has any effect. He has certainly been really exciting about "playing" with them and has been asking for them by name and things like that. I guess it gives him a chance to rehearse interactions.

DS1 was on Lego Digital Designer on the PC, making minifigures of his classmates, last week. That might help for lego fans, as you can work out which pieces you need and then order them from the website.

That sounds great, ouryve! I'll have to look it up. DS is just getting into Lego.
