Media Interview

I have just had a conversation with a journalist who is doing a program re: antenatal testing and outcomes. Focusing on a number of stories - those who have had all the tests and terminated, had tests and not terminated, knew their child would be born with sn and still had them, parents with sn who have gone on to have children that may also have that sn.

Was worried she would be very pro testing and terminating etc.... BUT she seems to have done her homework and seems very 'enlightened'.

So I have agreed to be interviewed for this national current affairs program - very nervous and scared now.

BUT if I can just stop one person from being frightened of Down syndrome - I will have achieved something.

They will be interviewing in June for the programme.

Will keep you updated. (if you're interested that is.)

You were eloquent Smile Just bloody passionate as well Grin And why not ffs!

I think you will be fab btw.

You have been in my mind very often over the last few weeks as I have been teaching the sixthform about prebatal testing. Thanks to the education you have given me, I can make sure that they undertand that positive for downs can have lots of different outcomes.

So you have already started (and been sucessful) in your education program.
