Hi all. Im new here and new so "special needs". Much and all as id rather not be here iv been lurking for a while and find you guys have fantastic knowledge and experience.
My ds is 3.5 years and was refereed to early intervention for assessment for speech delay and behavioural issues. They have mentioned sensory processing disorder to us but no official diagnosis. I feel by reading up that he is possibly on the autisim spectrum. He loves playing with wheels, lining up his toys, has very little concept of danger, can repeat his favourite tv programme but cannot talk to us, is obsessed with ice cream, etc..... I could write loads. Has good eye contact though.
Im just wondering if anyone knows could you have spd without having autisim? Thanks Im advance.
