So ds had his 'well' chest X-ray today.

And he has a shadow on his right lung. He hasn't got any infection at the moment, not even a cold. It was his regular paed, who reviewed the X-ray today, so he wants to pass it on to the specialist radiologist and chest paed to discuss, and then for ds to have a ct scan.

Hopefully it will all happen quickly, because waiting is horrible.

((((hugs)))) hazey, waiting is the worst thing!

bigbluebus · 09/04/2013 12:49

Oh Hazey. I hope you get the further tests and some positive news very quickly.
Crossing everything for you all.

SallyBear · 09/04/2013 13:51

Poor little mite will need to be knocked out for the CT scan as well, even though it takes a minute or two to run.... I hope that you get answers soon - don't forget you can always seek a second opinion and I would rate GOSH Respiratory team really highly. They've been brilliant with DD. x

Honks and hugs from me, too, Hazey. Xx

Hugs - Hopefully it'll be easily treated.

hazeyjane · 09/04/2013 19:04

Thankyou for the honks and hugs.

I kind of wish they would just get on with the ct scan, so we could get some idea of what is going on. I think ds's paed would have had one done a while ago, but he wanted a second opinion and we seemed to go back to square one.

Bluebirdonmyshoulder · 09/04/2013 19:52

Sorry to hear that, honks and hugs from me.

NoHaudinMaWheest · 09/04/2013 19:59

Sorry to hear this Hazey. Hope they do get on with it soon.

CouthySaysEatChoccyEggs · 10/04/2013 00:07

(((Hugs))) Hazey.

Lets hope you don't have too long to wait.

hazeyjane · 10/04/2013 07:53

Thankyou again.

Going to put it to one side today, another day, another appointment! Today's is ds's annual developmental assessment, so expect a thread later......

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 10/04/2013 10:18

hope all goes well. Ask if they'll do a wheelchair referral too Grin

hazeyjane · 10/04/2013 18:53

Oh darn, I should have done! It was a really long and detailed appointment. I feel knackered!

OP posts:
SallyBear · 10/04/2013 19:36

Ring the Developmental Paed's secretary (or email if you can - paper trail etc.) and say that it was such a long appointment that you forgot to ask a really important and urgent thing which was for a referral to Wheelchair Services.

hazeyjane · 10/04/2013 19:39

Ds has a physio appointment next week (it is appointment central round here!) so I might wait and ask her.

Have just written an 'offloading' thread about todays appointment!!

sally's idea is a good one, ask the physio next week too! Off to look for thread Smile
