Hi all,

Hope there is some sunshine and double digit temps in your neck of woods.

Seeking recommendations for an private Educational Psychologist. I want to get a baseline (we have just started a home based ABA program). The LEA EP's report was rubbish not detailed enough. Its for my child who starts school in Sept 2014. My aim is to get a 1-1 LEA support for her in a mainstream school with as much ABA as needed in 18 months time. Would probably review every year. Have requested a statutory assessment.

I can see David Urani being mentioned. And Allan Willis,Michael Davies too.

Thanks
SA

We've just had an assessment done using The Ed Psych practice in central london. They were recommended to us by our child's school. A very well organised, professional assessment and we saw a lovely psychologist. I think that there are a few working there who have their own specialisms.
Good luck.

We used Michael Davies. His report was very detailed.

We used Allan Willis. His report was less detailed than I expected but he said he would fill it out in oral evidence and to be fair he did and was half the price of Michael Davies. Allan Willis was very good on the day of tribunal.
Michael Davies said that the prognosis for the sort of regression I described was generally not good (although my description of DS progress with ABA sounded like he bucked the trend). That did make me worry he might feel ABA was less likely to be effective for a child who had undergone a severe regression (eg DS would not do well anyway). Not sure if regression is a factor in your case.

Agnes, my daughter has always been delayed. She needs help with life skills as well as 'learning to learn'

How is Dirk Flower?

We used David Urani; very good and report reads very well.

How much are the ball park price figures? Need to quote to the grandparents.

We need one too, for HFA ASD delayed expressive language.

Thanks

Mine was £800 for report and £550 for attendance at tribunal

Got an appointment with David Urani. I guess that should give us a good report.

Surprisingly, the Local Authority EP contacted me saying she wants to meet me and my daughter. The agenda of the meeting is to observe her(what will change in 2 months?) and find out what I want in the provision.

MissDuke - who is your EP?
