Hello everyone my ds 8 has to write a story based on George's marvellous medicine where he has to imagine taking a medicine and the consequences . He is writing a story where he becomes in his words a 158 enviro 400 double decker bus . I had to smile

Thanks everyone we have attended various bus rallies since he was three years old ! We are now also going through a massive Star Wars phase oh the joy!

I am feeling much better about ds' aircraft obsession. I think bus rallies would be a bridge too far for me!

Legalalien I looked at that Facebook page and it scared me .When ds was at nursery he arranged all the magnetic numbers into London bus routes .The staff took a photo to show me !

The good thing about bus rallies is I saw adults like my ds which was strangely reassuring

Grin bless, we would do anything for our DC! Bus rallies... Sounds.... Exciting Confused

Although saying that I have taken dinky to the science museum 8 times just to look at the space part on the ground floor and go to the space/rocket shows.

legalalien · 24/03/2013 13:43

Indeed... I have watched "battle of britain" at least 20 times, and that's the least of it. Apparently they study the battle of britain at school next year (year4). If so, the teacher is in for a surprise. :)

Yeah, wow, little legal will be able to teach the others Grin

I know what you mean about films...we have space buddies, space chimps 1 & 2, planet 51, fly me to the moon, and NASA space launches. Dinky had space this year and suprised the CT and TA with her knowledge of space and rockets.
In her new school they do space next year so that should be interesting! Smile

Like I say the Star Wars thing is getting ridiculous my son is a walking encyclopaedia of Star Wars knowledge

Has dinky been to the national space museum in leicester? We went recently for the first time - ds vaguely interested, a genuine space fan would love it. Assuming you're somewhere near london based on frequency of science museum visits, worth a day trip.

Dinkysmummy · 24/03/2013 21:10

No dinky hasn't been. I was going to take her but we have had a few issues and I have been extremely skint and will be considerably skint for the foreseeable future. I know she would have loved it! Or will love it.
I'm in the process of trying to do DLA form but don't know how fruitful that will be. If she gets awarded anything I will be on the first train to Leicester Grin

The story ended with him becoming a half bus half human cyborg top marks for originality
