Hi,
Am thinking of relocating but my dd is in the stages of getting an assessment where we live so I know I am best to stay where I am until that comes through as I don't want to go back to the wait list.

In the meantime am researching areas and schools etc. Can anyone help in this sort of area? Plus what are the services like here? Where I am now its shocking, wait etc but this may be uk wide...

Oh and its for autism but high functioning, maybe aspergers or on spectrum somewhere?

Thanks! I name changed from my old one and went to change it back and I cant so am a regular poster :)

Hi Livewhere,

I am in Redditch, just thought I'd say hi, my son is 3.5 and is at the very start of dx process of possible HFA, aspergers. He has had to wait 8 weeks for community paed, still awaiting occupational health and is with physio and orthotics (toe walker) so I can't really help much, but I am local but also not native to here as we moved here two years ago, hope I have helped in some way :)

I am from 'the grove'. Relocated so not a native Smile. Have a HFA dc.
Have found appointments/referrals to be very quick and on the whole have been impressed by the professionals we've dealt with.
Can't say the same for some school staff sadly. If your child behaves it's fine but if not there doesn't appear to be a lot of tolerance or understanding really. Just my personal experience though.
