Yes it is.
My other ear is hurting now and I am coughing up green gunk.
Bluergh.
I honestly can't remember the last day I was pain free.

Yeah, just been really busy. Have been floating around MNSN. Posting at odd times. Had a sz earlier on this week, in my sleep. Felt shit for a full day after. I knew i would, I'd been having word placement issues for hours, and also at times, though i knew what i wanted to say, whole sentences were coming out as gobbledegook. Ex told me before I went to sleep that he thought I would have one, too - he said he could tell by my eyes.

Can't wait for my Neuro appointment. Can't remember if I posted on this thread about the fact that the (crappy) GP's interest was piquéd by my pre- and post-sz headache, and my explanation of the type of pain, and the site in my left front of my head?

Also, I have in black and white from the MS preschool that they do not feel able to meet his needs, both allergy-wise and communication-wise, and the agree that a Special Needs Nursery would be best placed to meet his needs.

Also, DS2's feet have totally collapsed, according to the Orthotist, and not only is he getting inserts, but he is going back into Piedro's too!

DS2 is getting new orthotic inserts after losing his shoes with them in, but the Orthotist now thinks that he might also need Piedro's too.

Useless family support lady (from primary) came round, still hasn't found me a parenting course about teenagers, hasn't got any suggestions to help me...

Had my X-rays (fucking finally!!) and my blood tests about my joints. We shall see if anything shows up.

Also seen the HV (before i got the letter from the preschool) who admitted that while she thinks MS preschool will be better for DS3 than SN Nursery, that he would obviously require 1-2-1 to be safe and access the sessions from a communication POV. And also advised me to get on with writing a letter asking for DS3 to be assessed for a statement.

And managed to go to 3 different supermarkets, in wildly varying locations, in order to stock up on DS3's special foods.

Badvoc · 12/05/2013 08:37

Don't be sorry leonie.
You have far more to deal with than me!
Just in a feeling sorry for myself groove ATM.
I can't find queens thread either.
Couthy...wet parenting courses...I know that the NSPCC do them. Also, have you checked out parent line plus online?
I seem to remember they had some good tips.
I would also second writing the SA letter now. It can take a loooong time to get it sorted.

I keep trying to leave, no one will let me.

Not my husband, not my son, and now neither will this government. They asked for my passport for that 'indefinite leave to remain' thing years ago---gave it to me, sent it back and then keep asking for it back.

THEY TOOK it in OCTOBER and I still don't have it back and I can't handle it here anymore. I am going STIR CRAZY. AHHH.

Everyone--help me escape.

okay, enough complaining about me.

tell me what you know about epilepsy---is there a possibility that my son could live with this without brain damage?

Queen, I was told that it's rare for epilepsy to cause brain damage - the vast majority of people who have epilepsy shown no damage on MRI scans and for the ones that do show damage, it can't necessarily be attributed to the epilepsy.

Irrc, it's more likely for epilepsy to arise from brain damage, rather than the other way around.

BeeMom · 12/05/2013 15:09

moose you are correct - there are VERY few malignant epilepsies. The biggest thing it that they can interfere with learning and consolidation, which is why trying to gain optimal control of daytime seizures in children is so important...

QueenofWhispers · 12/05/2013 15:20

ohhh! okay---

seriously you girls are making me feel better. I've stopped shaking so hard.
