Just flagging this up for anyone that is interested (we have already booked to go!). They are on 18 and 19 May and you can book on the ZSL website.

Working around the world to try to reverse the fate of the Sumatran tiger, Tiger Territory will enable ZSL to breed tigers at London Zoo and learn more about these elusive animals to apply to its field conservation projects. Tiger Territory will inform and inspire a generation of people to treasure the tiger and understand their role in its survival. Tiger Territory, the new ZSL flagship exhibit costing £3.6m, is opening at ZSL London Zoo in spring 2013...just in time for Special Children's Day!!

Facilities

· Additional friendly staff and volunteers on hand to assist

· Additional facilities, including changing tents with beds and cleaning utilities, hoists, additional disabled toilets and respite areas for families

· Charity Hub: an onsite hub where charities will be on hand to offer guidance, information and networking opportunities for families

· Coach Parking: A designated drop off and pick up point for large coaches

· Free all day parking for blue badge holders in the main ZSL car park

PS DS is likely to ignore a fair amount of it but I intend to enjoy it. My DH is just very excited at the thought of seeing the singing hands ladies, known as "the ladies" in our house!

Yes, I am very excited about 'the ladies' too! I got ds one of their dvds for xmas, but when it is on, ds just signs for Fireman Sam the whole time!
