Actually only on one of our claims (out of five!) - tribunal found that DS2's school failed to make reasonable adjustments for him (he is HFA ASD)when he went into the sixth form. They have ordered an apology for him and us, for monitoring and communication policies to be reviewed and training for all staff in ASD and liasion with parents! The remedies are more far reaching than we had expected - at the hearing the judge made it sound unlikely they would order policy changes or training.
Only downside(which we were told at the hearing) is that they couldn't give the remedy we wanted for DS - for him to be allowed to do an extra year. Tribunal said it was outside their juridiction as it would be an 'admissions' issue.
We are pretty pleased with the result - which seems somewhat ironic as we are 'celebrating' that the tribunal has recognised that the school did discriminate against DS!
