my son is 6 year olds and was potty trained at the age of 5 that is when i go rid of all nappies, the problem I'm having is that he's weeing in his pants more times that using the toilet.

with poo he's never done one in the toilet, He will take his clothes off and would poo in the garden or his bedroom (standing up)

my hubby thinks he's just being lazy!! But I'm not sure so any help will be great.

Hi LW66 ... doubt the ADHD is affecting the weeing tbh. 5 is late to be dry in the day, so maybe he has 'real' reasons for doing this. A doctor wouldn't usually intervene until aged around 7, but a GP could give you some good advice about how to help your ds. Does he do it at school?

Hi LW66, I also doubt that it is a direct result of ADHD but I am not an expert. Have you been told previously that it is connected. I would 2nd speaking to your GP and see if they can suggest anything.

DS2 has ADHD, and he has occasional accidents - not as frequent now that he's 6yo, but it was quite regular when was 4yo and 5yo. It was happening at home and at school - I suspect he was so distracted (or attracted) to or by something that he simply didn't recognise the urge to wee in time.

I regularly see him even now at 6yo jumping up suddenly to use the toilet, having delayed it or simply not realised the urge was there, only to stop cold on the way out of the room distracted by something and almost have an accident.

I would look into the situations around each incident and see what's going on around him and whether he's just not making it to the toilet or not attempting to go IYSWIM.
