WWYD - Say something or let it go?

Had a meeting arranged for 2pm with 2 Health Care professionals to thrash out some issues we have been having with DDs transition to their service. Phone call 10mins after they should have been here to say "they will be coming, they are just running a bit late as doing Friday afternoon stuff. They will be with me in the next hour!".
Now I am more than used to hospitals/doctors not sticking to appt times, I have had 18 yrs of it. But, I turned down the opportunity to go to another meeting at 12.00 as I wouldn't have been back in time. However, had I known they weren't coming until 3pm, I could have gone.
These HCPs are used to dealing with old/infirm/housebound people - I am none of those - my DD is the one with the disability and she is at school.
Should I say something along the lines of "I am a very busy person and would appreciate them sticking to appt times arranged, in future", or should I just suck it up? I appreciate that sometimes they will have emergency calls to deal with, but got the distinct impression this was just a case of tying up a few lose ends in the office before coming out. (Incidentally, they suggested the Friday afternoon time - not me).

That sounds infuriating, but in this instance, I would probably just suck it up, but ask how the urgent stuff went Smile.

I would also suck it up im afraid.

Thanks. I did in the end as they are actually nice people - but they were even later than anticipated, so I was tempted!!!

Go to them next time. Means they'll see you at more like the right time, have all the info and files to hand, spend longer with you

...and also be ludicrously grateful to you for saving them yet another distant home visit Wink

They needed to come here as the had to look at equipment Mareeya. They hadn't come very far - it is a local team that covers this area!

Sorry but would have to say something. I had an OT do this to me recently, phoned half an hour after she should have arrived and said she would be with me in about half an hour - I had to rearrange as I couldn't wait that long for her as I had another commitment.

You can complain but still be polite.
