So, how do you think your childs needs can be best provided for

I have to answer this twice, because funding/assistance has to be split between preschool and priamy school, unless we get a place at one of the SEN units/schools in the LEA..

He's in preschool 12 1/2 hours a week, ideally he needs a full time echo, hes also going ot need help with the transition between preschool and primary school... where he'll eventually be for what 33 hours a week.. he's goign to need at least double asistance once he's there.

what do I need to request or say to make them offer reasonable suport?

emmalou,

I would speak to IPSEA re the wording of your request.

With regards to primary school the maximum the LEA will give is 25 hours per week. They may grant lunchtime support but not immediately.

Hope the above is a bit helpful.

IPSEA's web address is www.ipsea.org.uk
