Just sounding off. need to get this off my chest so I can get past it..........
3 goals, with specific achivable measures defined by very good teacher who then promptly left. No measures talked about at all...so no idea how they have determined that he did X 50% of the time etc. did not answer when I asked how they measured it. They just said 'oh he can do this now so lets work on other areas'
The EP assessment which was only done 4 weeks ago indicated 2 of the goals are certainly not being met, and until the school sort out the routine and structure, visual timetable and recognise when DS is getting anxious and deal with it appropraitely, the goals wont be met as he cannot remain seated, pay attention and listen when anxious and unsure.
The behaviour plan (separate form IEP) will not change despite lots of new input form EP. :(
He got 3 red cards yesterday (lashed out twice and swore at teacher when she asked for DS to put a ball down and come inside) and they could not see why he would have been anxious or stressed by the school environment and assumed something had happened at home.........school started yesterday with the HT in class instead of class teacher (not sure why), then DVD about God in the room next door instead of phonics, and then the normal class teacher turned up to teach after lunch............ this is a significant routine change.....why dont they get it????
