I have 4 children - 3rd is 11 I think she has PDA we have been referred to CAMHS. My other children are each victims to her obsessive abusive bullying physical and verbal. Our family life is at rock bottom as her meltdowns and challenging behaviour create dysfunction. How do you protect your ther children and preserve some semblance of normal family life? Do you exclude the SN child from some activities?

Hi Mulranno, I have a son with PDA , however he is an only child. He is nearly 5 now and I have often felt having another child would be extremely difficult , a new puppy , is difficult!
I have no advise for you but I'm sure other will come along soon with help, there are a few with PDA in the family here. If not, you might get more response on the PDA contact group site.
Best of luck , I can imagine how difficult things are.

We find it very difficult. In short, we cannot leave the two boys alone together because DS1 has decided that DS2 is the root of all evil because he does everything wrong. (Both have ASD, with DS1 having a lot of features of PDA. DS2 has very limited verbal skills, but has, thankfully, learnt to scream when DS1 threatens him physically)

I couldn't, so Social Services assessed and I have support after school for her.
