I have read let's recently to claim that fish oil supplements can help as a complimentary therapy for ADHD etc.

What do you think? If a DC age 5 were to take a daily dose would I see signs of improvement immediately? What sort of improvements might I see?

My DS2 takes eyeQ fish oils as they are high in EPA (?) but others recommend vegepa (veggie equivalent and tastes better.) DS2 has ASD and is very active rather than ADHD, but I noticed a big improvement in his behaviour / concentration after about 5 - 6 weeks when he was about 4 1/2 or so.

It takes time for the levels to build up, I believe, and you are recommended to start on a higher dose for a few weeks to speed this up. I think if you are lacking/deficient in the omega oils you may see a quicker benefit. Definitely worth trying. I tried this without changing anything else to make sure it was the omega oil making the difference, but you can never rule out a chance developmental leap, I guess.

Thank. We are on week 3. Better sleeping, easier to reason with and at a soft play session yesterday it was amazing not to see him bouncing off the walks. But it could be coincidence, growth etc as you say.
