I have been told that being able to distinguish between minimal pairs reliably is a pre requisite for speech sound work. Can anyone tell me more about this or where I could look to find out more about this? many thanks

The best site is Caroline Bowen's www.speech-language-therapy.com/

For background and a complete list of minimal pairs in British English, try myweb.tiscali.co.uk/wordscape/wordlist/index.html
