Amended final statement pending Tribunal

Just had one of these today. Rather than comment or agree working document, LA have issued amended final statement before the date for final evidence has passed and we have a report to file with further amendments.

Anyone else had experience of this?

I take it, that broadly this is a good thing?

Yes it is good - great!! Take a breath to say that! But we hadn't filed our OT report yet which is more specific in terms of what the OT should be. Not demanding more necessarily but it does set out the hours etc

Well since you haven't withdrawn your appeal, you could use this as a good start to negotiation if you feel you need to go on.

Yes we got amended but much earlier on (they were unlawfully withholding funding from nursery and clearly decided to rectify that before tribunal). For completeness you may need to amend your appeal to include an appeal against the new statement. Just to make it clear your appeal still stands. Tribunal will do this and not expect you to start again! Just treat it as a working doc and send back amendments with report.
