Got a call this morning to say DS taxi had been involved in an accident on the motorway on the way to school,
3 kids,2 escorts and the driver were all shaken but no injuries.they had to switch cabs on the hard shoulder and apparently the police were absolutely fab and really listened to the ASD trained escorts about how the kids needs should be met ect
The kids were all cared for by school staff in the most caring way while all 3 sets of parents could get to school to bring the kids home for a much needed cuddle and chill out day.... But omg I know I'm going to be a bloody nervous wreck sending him to school for the next ten years even though I know his driver and escorts are fab.

Oh my goodness what a shock for you all! I'm so glad everyone was ok. Maybe it'd be nice (obviously when the dust settles!) to give positive feedback to the police too,so often we only seem to hear the 'how they got it wrong' stories.

Oh crikey, you poor thing and poor ds! Shock Glad everyone was ok and hope ds is feeling better after some time and tlc.

AS lovethesun1 said, it's nice to hear they had a positive experience with the police though and really reassuring to know that they were there to help and willing to be guided on how best to do it.

This is something I am really scared about if ds gets into the out of area school we would like him to attend next year. It'll be about 40-50 minutes minimum on transport and I suspect they are likely to use the motorway to try and cut down the travel time. We've already been told our LEA use the cheapest taxi firm possible and have had no end of problems with them.
